Maintenance & repair

Most emergency ac repair austin calls in July trace back to a system nobody checked in April.

A tune-up plan that actually gets used twice a year, and a repair call-out for the day something quits without warning. Both run through the same crew that installed half of what we service.

  • Two visits a year, spring and fall
  • Same-day repair where the schedule allows
  • Plan members get priority scheduling
  • Austin, Texas and the surrounding service area

Why a tune-up is worth the money in a climate like this

An Austin cooling season runs May through September and the system barely gets a rest in between. A dirty coil loses heat-transfer surface the same way a fogged windshield loses visibility — the equipment doesn't stop working, it just works harder for the same result, pulling more amperage and running longer cycles until either the electric bill or the compressor tells you something's wrong. A twenty-minute coil clean and a filter swap in April, before the heat actually arrives, catches that before it becomes a July emergency ac repair austin call at nine at night.

We check the same four things every visit: filter condition, coil cleanliness, static pressure at the air handler, and refrigerant charge against the manufacturer's target subcool or superheat number. That last one matters more than most homeowners realize — an overcharged or undercharged system runs inefficiently for months before it fails outright, and the only way to catch it is to actually connect gauges rather than feel the vent and guess.

A plan for the whole year, and a number to call the day something breaks

One prevents most of the calls. The other handles the ones prevention doesn't catch.

Seasonal Tune-Up Plan

Two scheduled visits a year, timed ahead of the cooling season and the short heating season, so the system is checked before it's asked to work hardest. Each visit is the same four-point check: filter replaced, coil cleaned if it needs it, static pressure measured, and refrigerant charge verified against the equipment's spec, not just topped off by feel.

What's included
VisitsTwo per year, one in spring ahead of cooling season, one in fall
FilterStandard filter replaced at every visit, sizes noted for future reference
Coil & chargeEvaporator and condenser coil checked, refrigerant charge measured against spec
Static pressureMeasured at the air handler each visit to catch duct problems early
Priority schedulingPlan members get priority booking over a non-plan emergency call

Price basis: flat annual plan fee, from $19 a month.

Emergency Repair Call

No cooling in August isn't a problem that waits. We run gauges on the system to find the actual fault — low charge, a failed capacitor, a seized blower motor, a control board that's stopped talking to the thermostat — rather than swap parts until something works. The diagnostic fee gets credited toward the repair itself once you approve the work, so you're not paying twice to find out what's wrong and then fix it.

What's included
ResponseSame-day where the schedule allows, next-day otherwise
DiagnosticGauges and electrical testing to find the actual fault, not a guess
Fee creditDiagnostic fee applied toward the approved repair cost
PartsCommon parts carried on the van; special-order parts quoted before ordering
ScopeFurnaces, central AC, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits

Price basis: diagnostic call-out fee, from $95, credited toward the repair.

Where we draw the line

We won't replace a part that's testing fine just because it's the easy sale. If the fault is somewhere else, we keep looking until the gauges agree with the symptom.

Resezido Climate — Maintenance

A repair call that ends with the wrong part swapped is a repair call you'll pay for twice. We'd rather take the extra twenty minutes on the diagnostic than guess.

What this doesn't cover

  • The tune-up plan doesn't include parts or refrigerant beyond a minor top-off, and same-day response depends on the day's schedule and how many emergency calls are already in queue. We'll give you an honest window when you call, not a promise we can't keep.
  • A repair call fixes what's broken. If the underlying cause is undersized ductwork or a system that was mis-sized at install, we'll say that and point you to the right page rather than patch it repeatedly.
