Every cookie resezido.com sets, laid out row by row, and why each one is there
This isn't a summary written around a table. The table is the policy. Each row is one clause: what it means, and why it applies to a site that runs Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and, where a campaign is live, Meta Ads.
Three categories, nothing hidden in a fourth
Everything this site stores in your browser falls into one of three buckets. Strictly necessary storage runs the site itself and can't be switched off from here. Analytics storage measures traffic. Advertising storage carries the click identifiers that Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads use to report on a campaign.
| Clause | What it means in plain words | Why it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Effective dateeffective_date | This notice took effect 7 September 2026 and stands until a newer version replaces it. | You need to know which version of the rules governs a cookie set today. |
| Ad platform identifiersad_platforms | A click from a google ads campaign carries gclid in the link; Microsoft Advertising carries msclkid; Meta Ads carries fbclid. | This site currently buys clicks from those platforms, so those identifiers can arrive in your browser bar the moment you land here. |
| Consent Mode v2consent_mode | Google's consent mode framework holds four signals — ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage — denied by default. | None of those signals moves to granted until you actively allow storage on the banner, and all four snap back to denied the moment you decline. |
| How consent is givenconsent_choice | The banner at the bottom of every page offers Allow storage or Decline. Your pick is saved as site_consent_v2 in your browser. | That's the only mechanism on this site that records a storage choice, and it's the one you use to change your mind later, from the footer link "Cookie choices." |
| If you declinerefusal | The site, the form and the chat still work fully. No analytics or advertising cookie gets written, and ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage stay denied under Consent Mode v2 until you change that choice. | Declining never blocks you from reaching a technician; it only turns off measurement of how you got here. |
| Where the platforms explain themselvesthird_party_policies | Google's own cookie and data practices are documented at policies.google.com. Microsoft's are documented at privacy.microsoft.com. | Each platform, not Resezido, controls what it does with a click identifier once it's inside their systems. |
| Ask about a specific cookiecontact | Email office@resezido.com naming the cookie or the page, or call +1 (213) 555-8290. | Not every visitor wants to read the whole ledger; some just want one answer about one storage key. |
The actual cookies and storage keys, one row each
This is the part a ledger of clauses can't hold on its own — the real names, who sets them, what they're for, and how long each one lives.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| site_consent_v2strictly necessary | Resezido, first-party | Stores your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again on every page. | 12 months |
| chat_tokenstrictly necessary | Resezido, first-party, via localStorage | Lets the support chat widget find your conversation again if you close and reopen it. | Until you clear browser storage |
| _ga / _ga_*analytics, consent-gated | Google Analytics | Counts visits and pages viewed, only after you allow storage. | Up to 13 months |
| gclid parameter and its cookie mirroradvertising, consent-gated | Google Ads | Matches your click on a google ads advertisement to a later inquiry. | Up to 90 days |
| msclkid parameter and its cookie mirroradvertising, consent-gated | Microsoft Advertising | Matches your click on a Microsoft Advertising placement to a later inquiry. | Up to 90 days |
| fbclid parameter and _fbpadvertising, consent-gated | Meta Ads, where a campaign is running | Matches your click on a Meta advertisement to a later inquiry. | Up to 90 days |
Strictly necessary rows run with no banner and no opt-out, because the site can't function without them. Analytics and advertising rows are consent-gated: nothing in either group is written until you allow storage, per Consent Mode v2 above.
Changing your mind later
Open the footer on any page and choose "Cookie choices" to see the banner again. Selecting Decline sets ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage back to denied immediately, and no new advertising or analytics cookie is written from that point. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that the same way, automatically, without showing the banner again that session.
